Tasting Notes
Deco’s Gold rum shows a pale straw color that reminds me of a nice riesling wine.  Slightly sweet aromas of lemon, sugarcane juice and mild vanilla evoke memories of marshmallows – presenting a hint of the flavors to come when you take a sip. The initial taste bring sweet light vanilla and mild caramel, both tempered by a little lemon zest on a refreshing light-mediumweight body before finishing just off dry, with a little creamy vanilla sweetness.

Deco Gold Rum is produced from fermented molasses using a combined pot still and continuous column reflux still.  No sugar/sweetener is added, so the formula remains true to it’s intended purpose: great tasting cocktails!  All of Deco’s rums are handsomely packaged in tall clear bottles with a art-deco silver, black and white label, with a cork stopper sealed under silver foil.

While Deco Gold rum is smooth enough for sipping, it’s a fairly simple rum whose real forté lies in making lively cocktails that call for a cleanly distilled rum.  Deco Gold blends nicely with many popular drinks and doesn’t push boastful flavors that would otherwise dominate your cocktail.  Think of it as a welcome substitute in your cocktail chemistry set for many of the over-carameled lightly aged gold rums and those ubiquitous tasteless white spirits.  Nicely done.
