Titicaca is the world's highest navigable lake. Floating islands made of hydroponic reeds are home to many, and most everything they have - their houses and boats - are made by cutting blocks of reeds off the edges of the islands. Hotel Libertador's bar has a fantastic view overlooking the lake, the perfect setting for sipping one of Peru's many fine rums.
